Vichy skincare is a line of face, sun and body care products that was originally developed in France over 80 years ago. The brand is owned by L'Oreal Paris and is sold at drugstores such as CVS and Duane Reade.
Brand History
Vichy Laboratoires was first developed in 1931 and is named after the French town of Vichy. The town is known for its hot springs, which produce a key ingredient found in many of the brand's products. Dr. Prosper Haller, a dermatologist and medical doctor, partnered with pharmacist Georges Guerin to develop the Vichy Laboratoires brand. The initial Vichy product line was named Secrets of Vichy and was innovative for the era because the products were designed specifically for various skin types. Today, the Vichy brand still relies heavily on products geared to specific skin types. There is even an application on the Vichy website where consumers may answer a series of questions to determine their skin types.

NormaDerm
NormaDerm is a line of cleanser, toner, lotion and mattifying lotion that is perfect for acne-prone skin. The products contain zincadone and salicylic acid to treat all major categories of imperfections, such as blemishes, blackheads, clogged pores and excess shine.
Liftactiv Retinol HA
This is an anti-aging line that tackles three types of wrinkles: permanent, reversible and programmed, with anti-wrinkle ingredients retinol and hyaluronic acid. The line includes a day, night and eye cream.
Aqualia Antiox
If you're looking to boost radiance, Vichy skincare's Aqualia Antiox is the recommended protocol. Antioxidants and vitamins C and E help protect the skin's stem cells and keep the complexion looking refreshed. A serum, hydrating fluid and eye-stick make up this collection.
Purete Thermale
This collection of detoxifying cleanser, toner and eye makeup remover promises to purify skin deep down, without stripping the skin of essential oils and preserving its natural protective barrier.
